Thich Vien Hy visited 140 young patients at the "Ho Chi Minh City Tumor Hospital" (Bệnh viện Ung Bướu) and distribute gifts to their families. Each family receives $15 USD.

The support program was formed in 2008 by Dr. Phan Minh Hien in France with contributions and assistance of Most Rev. Thich Khong Tanh (Lien-Tri Pagoda), Hoa-Mai Humanitarian Club and supporters in France, Canada, and the USA.

The next program is to distribute special gifts to the unfortunate children at the Full moon Festival (Tết Trung Thu) which is planned for the first week of November 2014.

Per Dr. Phan, most of the child patients are in the last days of their lives since the tumors were later discovered and their families are too poor to pay for the costly treatments.

Visit The School For Needy Children in Andong Chan Village

On July 29, 2013, a group of AAD and Mr. Bang Nguyen, a supporter visited the school which built by AAD on September 2009. The intention of the trip is to visit the students and their parents as well as study about current needs. The main question was asked by many villagers is when the school would be in operation again?

The answer is now still on the air since the funding for this education program has not been actively campaigning.
